Maybe in the past you have been afraid to go to the dentist for various reasons whether it was general anxiety or a painful past experience. But now, with sedation dentistry you no longer have to be afraid of going to the dentist and can get all of your dental care done often in as little as one appointment. For your safety, our office complies with the ADA guidelines on sedation and will be happy to discuss your options as well as any corresponding questions.
There are many reasons why you might be uncomfortable with going to the dentist, but we’re here to ensure that none of those reasons hinder you getting your dream smile - the smile that you deserve. General anxiety can arise with the noises, sights and sounds associated with the dentist’s office or even from a sensitive gag reflex. Our advanced office offers the highest technology and the best guest amenities to create a completely comfortable environment for you whether you’re coming in for a routine cleaning or more complex procedures.
Almost all anxious adults require only minimal sedation. With light sedation, the patient is still responsive and only minimally impaired. Most anxiety can be relieved with light sedation and excellent local anesthesia. Some otherwise healthy adults are phobic and respond irrationally to a given fear. Those persons either need general anesthesia or need to work with a mental health specialist to overcome their phobia. Obviously the later is more preferable and better for the long haul.
We will first meet to discuss with you our sedation options along with all the positive and negative side-effects. We will also complete a comprehensive exam to determine what procedures we will do while you are sedated. We make sure that you will be fully educated when deciding if sedation dentistry is a good option for you. With your approval, we will schedule an appointment where we will sedate you and complete all the dentistry work need to give you a healthy, beautiful smile.
Everyone deserves to have a healthy, beautiful and confident smile and to chew their food without pain. We understand if you’ve been putting off years of dental work - but now there is a solution. Contact us to learn how sedation dentistry can change your life.
